“My interview skills completely changed. I became so much better. I aced the interview and got into my dream company doing my dream job.”
Start Your Career Right…We’ll Help You Turn that Interview Into a Job
Pamela Skillings speaking with the Wall Street Journal about interview strategies for new grads:
Most new grads underestimate how important interview skills can be. A common mistake is for a new grad (or soon-to-be-grad) to assume an interview is just like any other normal, professional conversation.
Parents and mentors usually know better, but it’s not always easy to steer attention toward this topic (with all the other turbulence affecting a new grad’s life).
Our approach helps young adults put a high value on interviewing well, and helps frame these skills as an important life skill that will yield positive results for years to come.
While our focus is on helping you improve your interview skills, we can also guide you in optimizing your job search and developing a long-term career plan.
If you’re still exploring your career options, we can guide you through a structured process to identify the best path for you and then work with you to make your dream career a reality.
If your direction is clear, we can focus on fine-tuning your job search and job interview skills to help you stand out from the competition and get hired.
We have helped recent college graduates launch exciting careers in finance (including positions at the top investment banks), technology, marketing, fashion, publishing, management consulting, pharmaceuticals, and other industries.
We have worked with students at schools across the country — including Ivy League universities (including Harvard, Yale, Stanford, and Cornell) and other prestigious institutions.
We also work with college students seeking spots in the most prominent and competitive graduate and internship programs.

Type-A Interview Coaching Package
The New Grad Type A Interview Coaching Package is for those who want to do everything they can to be prepared for their upcoming job interviews — and are motivated to do everything they can to smoke the competition.
This popular package consists of four sessions, two 90-minute sessions and two 60-minute sessions (in-person in New York City or via video conference from anywhere in the world).
Session #1
Before you meet with Pamela for the first time, you’ll fill out a questionnaire so that she can create a customized plan to help you meet your goals.
This way, you know you will be starting your first session with a focused agenda. A key part of Session 1 is your first practice interview with Pamela.
She will customize the practice interview based on your resume, target job description(s), and career objectives.
After the interview, Pamela will give you a candid assessment of how you did — including what’s working and what needs work. She will also offer detailed guidance on how to perfect your answers and your approach.Pamela will assign homework between sessions. Typical homework assignments might include:
- Developing or refining interview stories to help you shine in behavioral interviews
- Working on new approaches to other critical questions including: Tell me about yourself, What are your strengths, What are your weaknesses, Why did you choose your university / major / internships / career path, Why should we hire you
- Improving your resume or cover letter template
- Completing the Myers-Briggs Type Indicator (MBTI) personality assessment or another career assessment online
- Optimizing your networking and/or job search approach for better results
After the session, you will also get a digital video recording of your practice interview and feedback.
Session #2
In Session 2, you will review your homework assignments and any assessment results and discuss your progress since the last session.
Pamela will work with you to choose the right interview stories, refine and polish them, and then practice delivering them.
You and Pamela will also strategize on approaches to difficult questions and tricky topics. And you’ll log some more practice interview time (we can’t stress the importance of this enough — we want you to make your mistakes in the sessions and not in your actual interviews).
Depending on your situation, you may also work on strategies for identifying more job leads, making the most out of networking opportunities, researching companies and industries, following up on opportunities, etc.
Session #3
In Session 3, it’s time to evaluate your progress so far and zero in on remaining obstacles or problems.
Part of Pamela’s job is to be your accountability partner and keep you on track to achieve your goals. She will cheer you on when you make progress and will also let you know if you still have to step up your game.
Session 3 will also include more interview role play, focusing on the most difficult questions. You may conduct practice interviews for specific opportunities coming up — this will allow you to work with an expert on customizing your answers for different companies, industries, job roles, and interviewers.
Session #4
In your last session, you will conduct a formal, in-depth practice interview. Pamela will carefully evaluate your answers, your presentation, your body language, and every other element of your interview approach. Here’s where we see if you’re ready to land your dream job.
You and Pamela will then work together on any final issues and work on your plan to move forward.
You will get the digital video recording of your final practice interview you can see the dramatic difference between your Session 1 performance and your Session 4 advanced interviewing skills.
